Experimental study on turning machine with permanent magnetic cutting tool

Abstract Implementing a magnetic field on the cutting area during machining process is one of ways to increase tool life, as result, reducing cost. Due this, numerous researchers conducted various studies in that field. However, there was no study which used permanent magnet has been found. In this study, effects life have investigated extensively with designed experimental setup. Experiments were CNC turning machine HSS at speed 51 m/min, feed rate 0.1125 mm/rev and depth cut 1 mm.
